Joshua Jackson's latest daddy update will melt your heart.
The Dawson's Creek alum shared an adorable photo of himself, courtesy of daughter Juno, whom he shares with ex Jodie Turner-Smith.
As Joshua joked, he was hoping to break up his Instagram feed with an "aggressive closeup of my sweaty face," but more importantly, wanted to share the story behind the photo.
"This morning after breakfast I told my daughter I was going to go do some yard work," he wrote on Instagram Sep. 2. "She asked if she could come with me, which is of course a yes."
However, the 4-year-old decided that she didn't feel like joining her father, telling him, "'Daddy, I think inside play is what I need right now.'"
So Joshua headed into the yard for some "dad therapy," while Juno hung out with her grandmother.
"When I come back in," he continued, "she presents me with this necklace. And tells me, 'dada I wanted to stay inside so I could make you a necklace.' And I asked her to take a photo of the me in the necklace."
The 46-year-old added that while Juno was taking the photo, "She says, 'It's good for you to have a photo so you can always remember that I love you.' So this is the exact moment my heart was melted by this amazing little big girl for the bajilionth time."
"Little one, if you see this when you are old enough to read-get off instagram immediately," he wrote. "And also, I know. And I love you too. And I am so thankful that I get to be your dada."
Joshua also shared a message for all the "dadas and mamas out there doing it," noting, "I know it's not all grace notes like I got today, but you're doing great and I think just maybe the kids are alright. (And I hope you caught up on sleep over the long weekend…I know I did)."
Since filing for divorce in October after four years of marriage, Joshua and Jodie have been candid about how they've been working towards being the ultimate parents to Juno, especially as Joshua began a romance with Lupita Nyong'o. And Jodie is all about the couple finding joy together.
"Good for them," Jodie told The Cut in June. "We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent."
The 37-year-old also joked that she was trying to get them to the "consciously uncoupled" level of exes Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, adding, "I truly hope they're happy and that it benefits us as a family."
"I just have to do everything that I can to set Juno up to win," she continued, "and to peacefully co-parent with someone whom I once loved very, very much."
